Strengthening Technical Expertise and Collaboration, Engineers Complete In-House BESS and Power Distribution Training

As part of Wetown Electric Global’s commitment to continuous professional development and technical excellence, our engineering team recently participated in an in-depth training programme and factory visit at Wetown Group Headquarters and manufacturing base in Yangzhong, Jiangsu Province.

The programme was designed to enhance the team’s technical understanding of Wetown’s full spectrum of power distribution and energy storage solutions. It provided our Regional System Engineers and R&D specialists with first-hand exposure to the company’s vertically integrated production capabilities, reinforcing Wetown’s position as a global leader in power infrastructure manufacturing.

A Fully Integrated Production Ecosystem

At the Yangzhong campus, engineers explored several of Wetown’s advanced production facilities, including those for power transformers, switchgears, power busducts, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). These facilities exemplify Wetown’s vertical integration — an approach that enables end-to-end manufacturing control, ensuring quality, reliability, and efficiency across every component.

In the busduct production line, participants observed Wetown’s in-house process flow — from raw copper handling and busbar preparation to insulation, bending, housing fabrication, and final assembly. This full-cycle production capability allows Wetown to guarantee consistency and precision across all stages of manufacturing.

Meanwhile, Wetown’s transformer and switchgear factories demonstrated how the company integrates advanced design and manufacturing standards to support projects that demand high reliability, such as data centres, industrial facilities, hospitals, and energy plants. The synergy between these facilities enables Wetown to offer comprehensive power distribution solutions , delivering transformers, switchgears, distribution panels, and busducts as a unified system from a single, trusted source.

Battery Energy Storage Innovation

A key highlight of the training was the in-depth session on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Engineers had the opportunity to review Wetown’s full range of storage solutions, from 215 kWh modular systems to 5 MWh large-scale units, each integrating Wetown-designed Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Remote Monitoring Systems (RMS).

The factory tour showcased how Wetown combines its transformer, switchgear, and battery cabinet technologies into a single AC-integrated BESS solution, delivering superior efficiency, safety, and performance. This level of integration not only reduces system complexity for clients but also strengthens Wetown’s position as a total solution provider in the renewable and energy storage sector.

Learning Through Collaboration

Throughout the training, our engineers engaged in cross-departmental discussions with R&D teams, gaining deeper insights into Wetown’s product development process and innovation roadmap. The exchange of knowledge between headquarters and regional teams fostered stronger technical alignment and collaboration , which is an essential foundations for supporting large-scale projects across Asia.

One of our Regional System Engineers described the experience as “a priceless opportunity to connect theory with practice, seeing how Wetown’s technologies come together under one roof, from copper to complete systems.”

Commitment to Excellence

This training exemplifies Wetown’s philosophy that true innovation begins with shared knowledge and continuous learning. By empowering our global engineering team with direct exposure to the company’s advanced manufacturing processes, Wetown continues to build a culture of technical mastery, collaboration, and sustainability.

As Wetown Electric Global expands its footprint across international markets, initiatives like this ensure that our teams remain at the forefront of technological development, delivering reliable, intelligent, and future-ready power solutions to customers worldwide.
