Bangkok, 10 September 2025 – Wetown Electric (Global) Co., Ltd. was honoured to participate in the “Powering the Future: ESS Launch & Global Partnership” seminar in Bangkok, joining distinguished leaders from government, finance, and the energy sector to discuss the global development of energy storage systems and Thailand’s strategic path forward.

In his keynote, Mr. Alongkorn Ponlaboot underlined the critical role of storage, stating: “Storage is not a choice, but a necessity for a clean, stable and sustainable energy future.” He stressed that Thailand’s competitiveness depends on embracing advanced energy technologies and global best practices.

As a global provider of power distribution and energy storage solutions, Mr. Peter Kwan, Executive Director of Wetown Electric Global, shared insights on international ESS momentum, market drivers, and new technologies shaping the industry. He showcased Wetown’s BESS portfolio, including the WE-Block, WE-Station, and WE-Rental series, designed to meet diverse needs from semiconductor facilities to grid-scale projects.

Representing EM Energy, Mr. Toontam Sukosit delivered a strong call to action: “No energy transition, no economic competition. Without energy transition, Thailand can forget about economic competition.” He further announced EM Energy’s partnership with Wetown Electric Global to provide Energy Storage System (ESS) solutions for commercial, industrial, and utility sectors. “After over a year of scrutiny, we’ve established our mutual potential to help develop our businesses according to each other’s objectives,” he said.
